Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ)
Travel and Ground Transport

(Toronto, Canada)

When you fly into Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) you will find plenty of ground transport on hand, to whisk you off to your holiday hotel or business meeting.

Pearson Airport boasts plenty of buses and shuttles, as well as a rank of taxi cabs and courtesy hotel shuttles. Connecting Toronto (south-east), airport transportation also links the many surrounding suburbs, such as Brampton, Markham, Mississauga, Oakville, Pickering, Richmond Hill and Vaughan.

Buses

Pearson International is served by many regular public buses. These include the 192 Airport Rocket buses - operated by the Toronto Transport Commission (TTC) and running to and from Kipling Subway Station. There are a number of bus stops at YYZ's Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, with the journey time to Kipling Subway Station being roughly 20 minutes.

Other bus services in operation at Pearson Airport include TTC Buses, which connect Lawrence West Subway Station, Go Transit buses, which run east and west, and Mississauga Transit Bus 7, which travels to the shopping center in nearby Walton. Buses travel daily at fixed intervals between 05:30 to 02:00. Brampton Transit is a relatively new addition and offers many additional connections and stops (Boylen Road, Bramalea Road, Derry Road, Logistics Drive, Steel Avenue and Torbram Road).

Also available at Pearson Airport are many out-of-town shuttles, operated by some 20 different companies, such as Airlink, Airways Transit, Greyhound Canada, Jetlink, Niagara Airbus, Ontario Coachway, Red Car, Simcoe County and Trentway Wagar.

Hotel Shuttle

Many Toronto hotels are now choosing to offer their very own a door-to-door shuttles for guests. These shuttles are laid on completely free of charge and depart just outside of the passenger buildings.

Taxi Cabs

Taxis are easy to find and in huge quantities - more than 350 are available, together with some 250+ limousines. Serving the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) YYZ taxis feature many fixed tariffs for specified journeys within designated zones. If you feel the need, you can pre-book your taxi, being collected from either Terminal 1 (door no. B3) or Terminal 3 (post no. 29).
