Canada's premier airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) lies just minutes from the city's waterfront and features almost 33 million annual passengers. This is almost double the passenger traffic of Vancouver Airport, the country's number two.

Pearson Airport is also around the 30th-busiest air facility in the whole world and each years enjoys more than 400,000 take-offs and landings, and shifts over half a million tons of freight. Sited just 27 km / 17 miles northwest of Toronto city centre, Pearson Airport is particularly close to the suburbs of Downsview, Etobicoke, Malton and Rexdale, and also reasonably close Burlington, Cambridge, Hamilton and Kitchener.


Pearson Airport offers travelers a variety of ground transportation options. These include taxis, shuttle buses and public bus services, which are operated by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and run between the airport and surrounding areas, including downtown Toronto. A LINK Train service connects both terminals 1 and 3, the Viscount Station car park, and also the onsite Sheraton Gateway Hotel.
